What a busy term so far

Hi as you can tell we have been having a busy term so far. We are trying to get our blogs up & running so watch this space for more postings from the class about what we have been doing. I will try to put some photo's on our blogs of our school Athletic Champs as well as photo's or a short video of Cycle Safety week. mrs Owen is new to blogging to so is still learning the ropes. It would be good to see some comments posted.

Getting into the flippaball finals BY ABBIE

In flippaball our first game that we won was against Sunset speedoes it was like 9 to 5. We were so glad that we won our first game we played. Our parents were proud of the whole team.Our team is called the Glenholme Marlins. I enjoy playing flilppaball my favourite position is the goalie because it is fun trying to stop the ball and jumping out of the water and getting cold and getting warm again by landing back in the warm water. In the finals we are coming a placing for second or third i hope that we come second because i want to come the placing closest to first.

Going to Inter-school Athletics by Jayde

On Thursday the Glenholme Athletics team went to the Inter-school Athletic champs at the Stadium. I came 1st in the 60m and 100m finals, and 2nd in long jump. There were lots of people in the finals. My nana came to watch me run. She said I was very fast. I said "Tell my mum that I came 1st in 60m and 100m". I didn't know I came 2nd in long jump. We went back to school on the bus. My mum was so proud of me and Glenholme came 1st in the relay, I ran 1st.

Over the weekend i went to Tarawera for the.i went fishing i got one rinbow trot my uncle got two bron trot then at seven we went to camp up for the night my uncle bort his little rido control boat i got to play with it.then he let me make a fire on the beach then i went for a walk in the bash then i went for a hot pool in the bash then i went back to the boat and had dinner i had pezza and chikin nugets then i went to sleep on the boat.in the morning we went home.

Hi my name is Melody. on the 10th April it is my birthday. now it is not long away, so I am really happy.im alowd 7 peopple at it im inviting Molly Ruby Britne Jayde Abbie maya katey.Now jayde is very luky becos her birthdayday is on vlentine and abbie is luky becos her birthday is on gifoerks.molly is my cosin and so is rubby.maya is a frend that i made and katy is her frend but now shes my frend to.britny is mollys best frend i think but she is mine as wall.for my birthday im having a spar and some food im not shore if were havig a cake if we do it will haft to be made on saterday becose on sunday is when my birthday is.so hopefilly evrething works awt and it all gos to plane.

Athletics

I enjoyed athletics. I come 3rd in the 200m spints and she came 5th in the 200m sprints.

ATHLETICS DAY :)

On athletics day we had to jump, throw, run & sprint. I came first in 100 metre, 200 metre and 60 metre. I came first in the high jump and 3rd in the long jump. A couple of people did relays in our class and we came 3rd in the boys relay.

It was my first day at a new school. It is called Glenholme school. I am Doohan Robson & I am 9 years old. I live with my family. My teachers name is Mrs Owen. I had a really cool first day. I like my new school.

Christchurch Visitor Melody Johnson

Hi my name is Melody Johnson. I come from Christchurch. I was in the earthquakes. It was really scary. I came up to Rotorua because my aunty Maria paid for me to come. My mum came with me as well. I'm going to Glenhome School because my cousin goes here. My house was fine in both of the earthquakes. The second one I was at school. My friends were scared too but they weren't in the first one. I'm going back on the 5th April so I'm prety nervous.

I would like to introduce Armaan. His birthday is on the 28Th of June. He has 3 people in his family. His Mum ,Dad and his brother. Armaan's favourite colour is red. He loves pizza and his favourite T.V show is Top Gear. He likes to read Top Gear books. He loves Micheal Jackson's songs. His favourite sport is soccer, he likes to play soccer with his friends.
Armaan's closest friends are Raymond, Sawan, Zion and Jaymie. He likes to play with them and that makes him happy. He is good at soccer and riding his bike at the BMX track, and he is also a good runner.
His jobs at home are washing the dishes, washing the car and his bike. He also gets the mail. He is quite a busy person at his house. When he grow up he wants to be a electrician or a mechanic.
Armaan is a great person to have in A1 because he is a good at reading and he is one of our fastest people in A1

GETTING TO KNOW JARROD OHLSON

I would like to introduce you to Jarrod Ohlson. He lives with his mum and dad. He has an older sisiter that goes to R.G.H.S. His mum and dad are called Rob and Cheryl. Jarrod`s favourite colour is blue. He likes K.F.C and likes swimming. His favourite T.V show is South Park and he enjoys reading Yellow Digger. Jarrod is a litttle noisey until you get to know him. His favourite song is Grenade by Bruno Mars. Jarrod`s closest friends are- Ana, Riley, Treston, Johnny and Kimbly. He likes to play with his friends and hang out. What makes Jarrod happy is fixing chainsaws. I think he likes chainsaws.Jarrod is really good at fishig and he likes to feed his Guineapig. I guess he feeds it too much. One of his proudest moment was winnig the fishing rod competition last year. He would like to be a logger when he grows up. I bet you he would be really good at it. Jarrod is a good person to have in A1. He is always getting on with his work and very helpful.
