My Mushroom Collection-Haruka
I have a mushroom collection, I love mushrooms! When I was about five,my mum and I were walking past a Motel, and I saw a lot of toadstools on the lawn outside the Motel! Thats when I started liking mushrooms(toadstools). I still like mushrooms now and my collection is still growing and I have more than this but I just brought these. My friends and family already know that I love mushrooms so whenever I go to Japan for a holiday, they always give me mushrooms stuff! Most of my collection has been given to me. I think I that I am very lucky.

Jump- Jam by Doohan
This morning we had Jump Jam. Jump Jam is something that we do for fitness. We follow a man do all these dance moves on the projector. The man dresses up in a costume, like a 'Shrek' costume and he tells you what to do. Today we did a High School Musical song and all the boys ran around the room. At the same time all girls stayed where they were and petended to talk on the phone.
My Netball Game By Abbie
Yesterday, 25th of August, Glenholme School competed against St Michael's in sport. I played netball and we had a great day. Glenholme won both of their games of netball. St Michael's lost because they didn't get any goals. However, they did have fun and that's the most important part.
I felt scared because I thought that we would lose. I played W.D. that means Wing Defence. I wonder how it would feel to play a game with other children with disabilties?

A Ship in a Bottle- by Mrs Owen
We are currently studying about explorers. Captain Cook was the second European explorer who discovered New Zealand. This is a photo of our 'Ship Endeavour' in a bottle. First we had to colour in the symmetrical picture of a tall ship. Next we cut it out being careful not to cut the picture in half. Then we folded the edges, made our tape double-sided & placed the ship in the bottle. (Mrs Owen cut off the bottom of our bottles) Lastly we pushed the bottle bottom into place.

Old House- By Molly
The 0ld dipapidated house stood at the end of dark and scary street. The old house was built in 1911 thats why its so rickity. The old house has dusty and mossy weather-boards that were covered with mud. The doors were falling off there silver rusty hinges and the door was rotten. The roof was rusted up and the paint has peeled off.
Inside the rustic old house there was a smell that could blow up a mountain if it wanted to. It smelt like dead animals and damp mouldy carpet. The sounds echoed through the house like a ball bouncing wall to wall. There was another ear piercing sound of the wind howling. It sounded like a ghost had stubbed his big toe. There was one last sound of a mouce scurrying on top of the damp squishy carpet.

Snow- What Excitement!!
Yesterday it snowed in Rotorua. It hasn't snowed here for about 60years or so. We all went mad outside trying to catch snowflakes as they swirled around our school yard. We were all hoping for loads more so that it would settle & we would be able to make snowmen. Hopefully you will be able to see a photo that Alyssa's step-dad took of us enjoying the snow.

On Wednesday we learned about the New Zealand explorers. We learned about Captain James Cook and other N.Z explorers. On Friday we did art. For art we coloured a picture of a pirate ship. Before we started Mrs Owen told us to bring a 1.5 litres bottle which it is clear so we can put the coloured priate ship in the bottle. It was fun doing it!
