During Art Week my buddy and I decided to make a pukeko dress. Frist we had to pick out what we needed to make it .We picked blue, yellow and red feathers to represent the pukeko's feathers. We used a blue material to make the skirt and the top. We used a glue gun to stick it together. The glue gun was really hot.

It had three windows one at the back and then two in the front and it had a hole in the top of the gondola. There were white strips on the side too. When every one had done all there Wearable Arts we showed them off in the hall and then took them home.

In The Holidays-By Raymond

In the holidays I went to the movies. I went to see a new movie it's called Real Steel. The fighting in the movie was different, it was boxing but you get to move the robot and it will do what you want it to do. You get money if you win the fight and you will be the worlds best robot fighter. This is a fake story because there are no robots on Earth right now but there are some robots in space. They stay up there in space they can't come down to Earth. I ate an ice-cream/popcorn and a drink. The finals was a little robot v.s a big robot. The little one won because he waited for the robot to get weak then he killed it with one punch to the head right in the middle of its head. So that robot got a head shot in the robot head. The robots didn't have guns they just used their hands- kind of like boxing.

Wearable Arts A1- By:Suhawna

Last term during Art Week A1 did Wearable Arts. We could work with a buddy or by ourselves. I worked with a buddy. My buddy was Jaylee. Jaylee and I thought we would make a marae lady's costume. We started with the dress then did the cloak. While they dried we made glittery feathers. After the cloak and the dress were dried I painted patterns on them. The cloak dried the fastest and then we could glue the glittery feathers on. Then we put it together and it was hard to walk with it on.

When we made the Terraces, first we got the the round polystyrene and cut into layers. We put material and little hot pools on the bottom layer and put on fake petals on the top layer. This picture is when I finished.

A1 Wearable Arts for Assembly - BY ANA

For Art Week we made Wearable Arts and I made a Luge. Sion made the Pink Terraces and Haruka made the White Terraces. On Friday we had to present them in Assembly and it was kind of embarrising for me because my handle bars snapped- it was kind of too small. When Sion and I finished we had to take our wearable arts off and then go straight to be announces for Assembly.

Wearable Arts-Haruka

During Art week, everyone in A1 made a Wearable Arts. I was partners with Sion, we were both doing the 'Pink and White Terraces'. She was the Pink terraces and I was the White terraces. Our base was made out of a polystyrene ring(half). First, we cut the polystyrene in half so it would make two layers. Then, we put material on top of our connected two layers. After that, we put a patterned piece of paper on the edge of our terraces. Next we put on some pink and white petals onto our material. We also made some pools. For an extra, we put a pink net into a bundle and stapled it onto elastic so we could put it under our chin. I had fun making wearable arts!
