Introduction to A1

Hi everyoneWelcome to A1's blog site for 2011.In our class there are 27 Year 5 and 6 children. Our current study topic for this term is Identity although we have also been looking at the effects of the Christchurch Earthquake. We have a diverse of cultures in our class- Chinese, Korean, Fijian, Indian, Maori and European, from which to draw on for our study. In a few weeks time we will be having our school Athletic champs so have been training hard-out for this. We have some awesome sports talent in our class. We have also been enjoying swimming sessions in our school pool and are lucky to have a champion swimmer Ana in our class to help demonstrate correct techniques to the class. Something else we will be involved in next week is a Cycle Safety unit with Sport BOP. So I hope all the children will be getting their bikes organised for the sessions. We are looking forward to camp next term and will be able to update our blogs with our new learnings. Watch this space for our results. Looking forward to your comments.
